Qing Bai: InnocenceQing Bai: Innocence

Inspired by The Legend of the White Snake, Qingbai reimagines the relationship between Bai Suzhen and Qing through physical theatre and dance. Transformation and memory move through a world of rain, rivers, and shifting identities, where human consciousness meets animal instinct. Created by Tara P. Nyingjè with Xinyi Dance Company, the work uses movement and Mandarin text to ask how a person defines herself when others insist that she prove her innocence.
