Bloom brings the dream at the heart of The Peony Pavilion into the life of a contemporary young Asian queer woman. Over one evening, an elusive lover takes the forms of people she has never dared to pursue, while her mother undergoes an awakening of her own. Written by Liqing Xu and directed by Tianding He, Bloom is paired with a Kunqu interpretation in Two Takes, placing a new exploration of desire beside its classical source.
《Bloom》把《牡丹亭》的夢帶到當代，寫一位年輕亞裔酷兒女性的慾望。一夜之間，捉摸不定的戀人，化作她從未敢追求的人；母親也在同時經歷自己的覺醒。這部作品由 Liqing Xu 編劇、賀天丁 執導，在《Two Takes》中與崑曲版本一同呈現，從兩個時代看同一場夢。
